I write, I sell things, and occasionally I write for others.

I read. Philosophy that asks what it means to live well. Psychology research stripped of the wellness industry's gloss. Fiction that holds uncomfortable truths without offering easy comfort. I connect things that don't obviously belong together until they reveal something neither could say alone.

For five years, I built Revel; a platform for mental wellbeing that appeared in Vogue Singapore, Honeycombers, Lianhe Zaobao and the likes. Then I took a gap year which made me stop producing long enough to ask what I have have been producing for. I came back and closed the business. I had changed.

Now I write. Sometimes essays on how we manufacture meaning in a world designed for distraction. Sometimes for brands that understand their work is about more than what they sell. I read submissions for After Dinner Conversation, a literary magazine where every story asks an ethical question that has no easy answer.

I take on 2-3 projects per quarter. Typically:

  • Editorial Projects: Essay commissions for publications, anthologies, or brands with something to say beyond their products. I write slowly and think carefully. If you need 800 words on "5 Ways to Boost Productivity," we're not a fit. If you need 2,500 words on why productivity culture might be the problem, we should talk.

  • Brand Writing: For businesses that understand their work is about more than what they sell. Not copywriting in the usual sense. I connect ideas that don't obviously belong together until they reveal something neither could say alone. Philosophy that makes sense for commerce. Psychology research without the wellness gloss.

  • Consulting: Occasional strategic work for conscious businesses. Positioning, editorial direction, how to talk about your work without sounding like everyone else. I studied positive psychology, digital marketing, and e-commerce, but what I offer is clarity on what you're actually trying to say.

  • What I don't do: Anything requiring false enthusiasm. Fast turnarounds. Generic content. "Engagement-driven" copy that treats readers like metrics.

If your work asks real questions, we should talk. Email ann@greataveruins.com with:
